Bumper stickers on the back of a Toyota Camry, Seattle, WA

My non-work mail client of choice is still mutt, not because I'm a luddite or anything, but because I don't want to move mail off of techhouse; besides, there's not really much HTML that matters. In any event, I get way more mail from SABR than I could ever handle, and sometimes I want it to go away. But I don't want to delete all the mail, because I'm a packrat when it comes to email, and writers SABR-L routinely don't include previous messages when sending replies. So what I'd like to do is tag a bunch of messages and mark them as read, but the intuitive trick doesn't work. Here's a description of how to use mutt to mark as read all tagged messages.

  1. "McDonald's isn't food"
  2. Skull & Crossbones
  3. Apple logo
