Political Tourettes Syndrome: I don't mean to make light those who have Tourettes, which a geniune disability that affects real people, but it's the only way I can describe the sudden desire to explode into a string politically-tinged epithets while walking down the street. Which, of course, has been happening an awful lot -- at least, just the desire; there hasn't been any half-crazy ranting in public.
Yet...
Mark Schmitt will be happy to learn that Kent Conrad has stalled the defecit-increasing Republican budget by demonstrating that a majority of Republicans think it's a good idea to let the poor and working-class pay more to visit the doctor. So, we are spared for another day while we try to pry loose a sixth (or perhaps seventh) Republican.
