Lowell Weicker, a popular former governor and liberal Republican back when there was such a thing, would be steamrolled by Joe Lieberman should he run for election. Since Lieberman draws 67% of the Democratic vote, it's hard to imagine a successful campaign, even in a Democratic primary.
