Via Urs, ten views I hold without any evidence to support them (or disprove them):
- It's a bad idea for military bases to be concentrated in specific regions of the country.
- Coke is, in fact, better than Pepsi. Period.
- Mike Schmitt is almost always underrated on lists of great baseball players.
- Education is a copper bullet, not a silver one.
- Moving more and more error-checking to compile time, via techniques like template meta-programming, is always a good idea.
- Counting is the hardest thing in math.
- Soccer players should simply shoot more when they're within 5 yards of the goalie area, and stop dilly-dallying around trying to get good position.
- For every crush/romantic attraction that is fullfilled, there are at least five that go unfulfilled.
- Not enough recipes use Worcester sauce as a flavoring agent.
- Pursuing "authenticity" in entertainment (movies, music, books) can easily get in the way of just having a good time.
