Electoral Math
The final SurveyUSA poll on the Francine Busby-Brian Bilbray race looks fishy to me. Among the 7% of voters who describe themselves as Hispanic, Bilbray leads 53-45. In a race filled with immigrant bashing, that's almost certainly off the mark. Giving Busby a more realistic 65-35 lead among Hispanics moves the race from a small lead for the Elephant to one for the Donkey. Either way, at this point the race is at a standstill, with Bilbray and the NRCC hurling negative charges on immigrants and fabricating accusations out of whole cloth from her school board career, while Busby chants the word "lobbyist" as often as she possibly can.
We'll know how this all shakes out in just a few hours now.
I've just got some quick hits today.
